We've been teaching this autumn at Aalto University, the department of Architecture. In this course, we've been studying how architects dress themselves and how they dress their buildings, and now the students have designed their own future dresses for their own upcoming future as architects.

 01.11.2011. Huh huh. COMPANY is running around Helsinki visiting manufacturers and makers still working inside city borders. The visits to manufacturers are reported here. The findings will be collected into an exhibition in summer 2012. ’Secrets of Helsinki’ project is part of World Design Capital Helsinki 2012 programme.

 14.10.2011. We finally got pictures of our sculpture project Mt. Helga in Kongsberg, Norway. The sculpture is a silvery mountain where kids can climb, and is penetrated by two tunnels to crawl in. Mt. Helga is an homage to a girl named Helga, who is said to discover silver in a nearby mountain leading to silver mining industry and to the founding of the Kongsberg city. More pictures.
14.10.2011. If one is to believe what Etelä-Suomen Sanomat writes in their article (above), it surely looks like we have found a new sales person to our Salakauppa (Secret Shop). Johan Molander, the Swedish ambassador in Finland, has applied for the job.  04.09.2011. Gwangju Design Biennale 2011 opens.
COMPANY was invited to participate in Gwangju Design Biennale, South Korea. We did a project with local Bamboo masters in Jeolla-do province. The ‘Guiding Hats‘ are made with traditional technique and are worn by the staff and the guides working at the biennale.
02.09.2011. COMPANY will teach this autumn at Aalto University, the department of Architecture. We titled our course ’Archetype’ and it'll be about ’why architects dress the way they dress and does it reflect in the buildings they design?’ In the course we'll find out about it, and study through making how to present and exhibit architecture when the given platform is only you.

We're finishing up the installation of our sculpture project ’Sounds of Sea’ which will be located along the waterfront of Jellicoe harbor, a newly renovated part of downtown Auckland.
